Mission Statement
Putnam
Pet Pals is dedicated to promoting adoption of homeless animals and to
encourage responsible pet ownership through education, legislation and
sterilization.
Who We Are
Putnam Pet Pals is a new Rescue and Advocacy group in Putnam County,
(Northwest Ohio). Our rescue is dedicated to re-homing neglected, abused and
homeless pets. We have our 501c3 non-profit status. Putnam Pet Pals is
comprised of volunteers that provide foster care for the homeless dogs until
a loving permanent home is found. Our dogs come from shelters/pounds with
most of the dogs coming from our local pound. We currently are only taking
in dogs but hope to expand our rescue to serve other types of pets. We are
in need of funds for vet care of our rescued dogs as well as crates,
kennels, dog food and treats, collars and leashes, toys, rawhides, bowls,
heartworm prevention, frontline plus, stamps, envelopes, computer paper, gas
cards and phone cards. Used items are also welcome such as kennels and
crates. For further donation information, contact one of the email addresses
listed on the dog postings.
Adopting a
friend
All
potential adopters are required to complete an application and sign an
adoption contract. A vet reference is required. If you do not include your
vet's name, address and telephone number, we will not be able to process
your application. If you are interested in adopting a dog, please email the
address on the dog's posting and request that an application be emailed to
you. Read our adoption policies and then complete an application. You must
either email the application as an attachment or copy/paste it into an email
and send to the email address listed on the dog's bio page. We do NOT adopt
our dogs on a first-come first-served basis. We review all applications and
then decide whom will be the best home for the dog. Each dog has their own
individual personality and needs and we try very hard to match the dog with
the most suitable home. Adoption fees vary due to the cost incurred by the
rescue for that particular dog. Please note the adoption fee in the dog's
bio. Again, applications are available from the email addresses posted on
the dogs' postings. You will need to send the completed application to the
email address listed on the dog's bio page.
Come Visit
Us!
We
are located in Putnam County (Northwest Ohio) and presently do not have a
facility for visitors to view our adoptable dogs. Our dogs are being
fostered in volunteers' homes. We are more than happy to arrange a meeting
with APPROVED adopters to visit with the dog you are interested in prior to
adoption.
